Mass for Evacuees

Hey everyone-
Most of y'all are down the hill by now, but a few are still up there!
Fr. Tim wants everyone to know that he'll be celebrating Mass at St. Joseph's in Fontana on Sunday at 12:00 noon. Then we'll meet at Sizzler on Sierra right after. Spread the word!
I hope you are all hanging in there. Just remember: this world is not our home, we're just passin' thru! "Our citizenship is in heaven..."

Fall Kickoff: Survivorteen!

This is it! Our 3rd year of LIFETEEN at Our Lady of the Lake! Getto Mass at 6pm on September 16th, then stay for the "Survivorteen"! If you can survive this Life Night, then you can survive the year!

Mass on the BEACH!

If you want to go to Mass on the beach at Balboa Beach, then you gotta pay your 10 bucks and turn in a consent form. For a consent form, click on "Download and Print Consent Forms and other important stuff" under the "Don't miss these links" section. Or you can call me or see me at Mass. But let me know if you want to go so I can save a place for you!
We're leaving at 10 am and we'll be back around 10 pm. We'll have food and a fire and s'mores!

Smoothies with our Saviour

There's Jesus n' Java and now we have Smoothies with our Savior. Come and join us at church at 4:00 pm on Friday the 3rd. We'll have some time of praise, worship, and adoration. After that, we'll head over to the Tea Exchange in the village for some smoothies!
Also, this Sunday after mass, we're having Sushi and Scripture ! We'll also have some Tasty Goody. See ya then!

In a world...

I've been talking to a lot of you lately on the phone, and it seems like there's a BOREDOM epidemic going on. So, even if you're not bored, come on over to MOVIE NIGHT after the 6 pm mass! Mini corn dogs are on the menu, along with nachos, yay!
Don't forget to check out the Sunday, Sunday, Sunday podcasts here. These podcasts are the Bible Geek explaining the upcoming Sunday scriptures. This is a great way to prepare for the week, and also not be so bored!
P.S. The movie will be "The Truman Show"

Party Time

Fr. Tim (or "Father Fuzz", as seen at left) has been at our parish for 10 years! So we're going to do a little celebrating on Sunday night. Everyone's invited (not just you teens)! We'll be having pizza, root beer, floats, and some sweets. Plus the wii will be there so let's talk Fr. Tim into playing a little wii sports!
Post on the tagboard what your favorite pizza topping is so we know what to order.
If anyone wants to come early to help set up, let me know and I'll tell you what needs doing.
We have some new lectors ready to go. Kelsey's going to be lectoring this time so give her lots of encouragement and support like you do for all the other lectors. Ha!
Harry Potter's last book is coming out the 21st. Any HP fans out there?
Anyone see Transformers? Evan Almighty? If anyone wants to review movies, books, video games, etc., let me know and I can post it here.

Bowflex the Devil!

I hope y'all got the message from "Father Schwarzenegger" about tonight's Life Night! There should be some food too. Ryan has designed this night so you don't want to miss it...he won't be here all year you know!
So, coming up I'll be posting some questions you guys have asked at Life Nights and some answers. The first question I'll be answering is "Why does the priest wear green during ordinary time? And what IS ordinary time?"
Hope to see y'all tonight. Maybe I'll see some of you at the village on the 4th. We'll be there watching the awesome Fife and Drum Corp perform.

ROOT BEER KEG IS BACK!!!!!!

To celebrate the beginning of summer, we are doing "pods and kegs" Life Night. Bring your ipod or mp3 player and we'll hook 'em up to some speakers and listen to your favorite song and talk about WHY it's your favorite :)
We are also going to have BBQ burgers and some chips and dip. What are your favorite chips? Let me know on the tagboard, if it works!

Yay!

I'm starting this blog as a way to get all our LIFE TEEN events OUT there to all you teens. I'm just learning how to do all this so be patient:)
I'm going to try to add a link to some photo albums so you can see pictures of yourselves!
I'm also trying to figure out how to add a tagboard, so if you see one, add a message!
